Being a CSE aspirant...
It's raining outside and raining very heavily. The window is open and the rain is sounding so loud. Now the window is closed, not automatically. My brother closed it because he can not hear his TV programme properly with the noise outside. But still I can hear the sound.
The UPSC has declared the CSE 2016 result a few days ago. Congratulations to all successful candidates for their achievement. And All The Best for those who are preparing for next CSE, including me too. The exams conducted by UPSC are considered as the toughest one, no doubt in it. But second most important thing about these exams is the time period of the full examination procedure. The exam goes on for a complete one year minimun or we can say more than that. Starting from December with the form fillings it ends in next to next year's month of May or June with the results. If one counts it, it becomes a period of 18-19 months. A long one.
Being a CSE aspirant, I am sure that all those who are preparing for it must have all the big - small information about the UPSC and the exam. I am too preparing for the exams. So I will not discuss the general things regarding it like the syllabus, the booklists, the strategy, the study hours and all the things which one needs while the preparations. I want to share my experience of last two years while preparing for these exams.
As you all know the syllabus can be explain as - Anything under the Sun including the Sun ! Tough one. Once I was attending a interactive session with candidates who cleared UPSC CSE 2015.
Aboli Narvane ma'am was sharing experiences of her preparations, it was on 12 th of August 2015 around at 4-4:30 in the evening, and guys that was the first time I felt scared about the exam. It was like " Pallavi, dear, it's not going be your cup of tea. Better leave it and find something else buddy." But it lasts for few more minutes only and then I felt I can do it. It happens many times with the aspirants.
Today also if I feels sad or mood is off, I feel the burden of the exam and everything seems to be very hard. But in these two years, I learned one thing which is very important in life and specially in competitive exams alike. The positive attitude. Yup! The attitude is a thing which changes all the dimensions of everything. Hard to easy, Yes to no, Happy to sad and vice versa, depending upon the attitude- positive or negative. Being positive is very much important here. Many of times, I feel low or get irritated by reading the same things or getting confuse with a lot of stuff sounding same to same but again I remind myself that It's OK dear. It will be fine in next few moments. You just don't give up and retry on it. Give one more reading. And still if you are not getting it just read it. No need to understand in first reading only. Try try but don't give it off. Abhi nahi to thodi der baad sahi.
The good thing about time is it changes.
And in this journey, we have a long way to reach our destination and the time required for it is also huge one. So be patient and always keep yourself positive towards all the happenings that are currently happening and will happen on this highway in coming time.
One more thing to add, this habbit - YES, positive attitude becomes a habbit if we repeat it again and again and believe me it is a good one. This helps you in your life too, apart from the exam or any preparations. It also helps me in my daily routine whether I'm in college or in a PMPML bus. And positiveness brings a kind of happiness along with it. And being happy never gets old ! Hahaha...
All the best...!
