Remembering People...
Hiiii friends....
I called you all friends. Ok. So that means you all - the readers of my blogs, are not so much unknown to me. That is a different part that we haven't met and there is rare possibility of that too. Because we have met through my blogs. Of course, those who know me, meet me often- my family, my friends. So I can remember them very well.
If somebody asks me at 1 O'clock in the midnight, showing a photo of my friend,
"Who is he/she ?"
I will probably reply...
That's my buddy. That's my friend. His name. My classmate. And so on.
We remember people by their faces, names, sometimes by their habits, style of talking, etc. Now in the era of smartphones, we have a big circle of people knowing us and we knowing them. So it is normal to have their contact numbers saved in our beloved cellphones.
But I often noticed that people save the contact numbers in the phone with the name of that person accompanied by a location or a thing, which reminds of the exact person quickly. For e.g. someone from my college, I will save his number as Mr. XYZ, AGC. AGC is short-form of my college name. It is needed. Because many times we have people with the same name and sometimes their surnames are also alike. This leads to confusions, so better to save contacts with proper mentions. I often differentiate the contacts with the locations where I met that person.
I have my contact list full of AGC, JP, SEI...
But this is fine for those who are very rare or common ones. But if we do the same for a person who is a very good buddy of yours, a special one, then it is not good, for me atleast. If I saved my best friend's number as "Best Friend, AGC", she will kill me definitely. I know it's a matter of choice of everyone and it will differ from one to another, for sure. After all life is all about diversity. But still in my opinion, keeping our special ones special is special. Doing the same with them as we do to the general ones will not be doing justice.
It can happen that at starting, those will be neither special ones, nor best friends, only classmates. As I am a student still, my surrounding is all my college. I will just talk about my friends, classmates, things related to my college. They all were same when we met first. Equally known and unknown to eveybody. But as time goes on the bonds get stronger and at that time remembering that person with the old general name with proper location, that does not fit in my dairy.
